The Lausanne Movement connects influencers and ideas to accelerate global mission. Started in 1974 by Billy Graham and John Stott in Lausanne, Switzerland to bring evangelical Christians from around the world together in unity, humility, friendship, prayer, study, partnership, and hope, which Graham called “the spirit of Lausanne”. It is in this spirit that world congresses, global gatherings, and issue-specific forums and consultations have been convened for 50 years, resulting in numerous connections, initiatives, and resources. Brent serves as Director of the Lausanne Global Classroom, a video content stream which introduces gospel issues to the global church to strengthen and facilitate more fruitful global evangelization.
Great Commission Consulting is the new agency that Brent helped start with his brother, Todd. As a clinical psychologist, Todd provides counseling and assessment services for missionaries both pre-field and on-field. Brent's consulting focus is education and equipping of the global church, as well as present and future missionaries so their ministry will be more fruitful and effective in accomplishing the Great Commission.
Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary is a leading theological training institution with locations in Hamiton and Boston, Massachusetts, Charlotte, North Carolina, and Jacksonville, Florida. Brent serves as Adjunct Professor of Missions at the Charlotte campus.
